What is it about the cretins that work in an office that line up at the trough every time there is free food. My friend told me it is as if people are homeless whenever someone brings in a box of donuts or some candy. Everywhere I look I see nothing but overweight people who will line up to get a Wal-mart Cake. I mean are you really getting excited over Papa John's pizza? You have a job, its like $9 a pizza, if you want it go buy it.
I mean at least then you wont have to sit in front of your co workers at your desk and eat it. You can actual enjoy it. I personally try and save my indulgences for a better time then sitting in front of a spreadsheet. Then again I actual care about my health and my physical appearance.
This also shows the hypocrisy of a corporation. I see banners and get emails about weight watchers, health screenings etc....then we have cake three times in a week. Literally we had it three times last week. Bake sale coming up its for "Charity". Well it better go to a good heart disease charity, case we have a lot of people here who need it.
Lastly, how pitiful is it that this is how companies reward you. This is the best the can do. This is how they think of you, throw food at you to make you happy. I have seen announcements that people are getting laid off over bagels in the morning. Well I don't have a job, but I can live off my own fat for at least a year...so it all works out. If your like me and your stuck in an office (for now) don't take their "reward" save it for a time when you can enjoy it.,..whenever your away from the office.
